Publication Ethics
Acta Geotechnica Slovenica expects accurate reporting, responsible authorship, impartial assessment, and transparent correction of the scholarly record.
Authorship
All listed authors should have made an appropriate scholarly contribution, approved the submitted manuscript, and accepted responsibility for their work. Explain contributions and resolve authorship questions before submission.
Plagiarism and Originality
Present original writing and analysis, acknowledge all sources, identify quotations, and obtain permission when required. Accurately distinguish new work from material previously disseminated.
Duplicate Publication
Disclose related manuscripts, preprints, and overlapping datasets. Do not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at a time or disguise previously published work as new research.
Data Fabrication and Falsification
Report methods, observations, and analysis truthfully. Preserve supporting records and explain exclusions, image processing, and other transformations that affect interpretation.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors should disclose interests that may influence their work or assessment. Editorial decisions should be based on the manuscript's scholarly merits.
Corrections and Retractions
Notify the journal promptly about material errors. Editorial action should clearly identify the affected work and explain the reason for a correction, expression of concern, or retraction.
Complaints and Appeals
Send a reasoned complaint or appeal to the journal office, identifying the manuscript or publication and the evidence supporting the concern. The journal office can explain the applicable review procedure.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
Authors are accountable for all submitted content and should disclose substantive use of generative AI. Reviewers and editors must protect confidential manuscripts and avoid entering them into unauthorized external systems.
